Glorious Union

I am 90% certain we are headed that way, the US government and the media are already giving people tips on how to survive through the great depression and to bunker down, save as much as you can, and prepare for the worst. I just read an article titled "True Happyness: How to Stay Positive in the Depression". Although the economists are saying that the recession should end in less than a year, I have never trusted them as they frequently lie to the media for whatever reasons.
I also read another article called "How to Handle Your Job and Finances If There's a Depression" which said the following:
"Look at it this way: If you put a group of brainiac economists together in a room and told them to create a computer model of a Great Depression 2.0, the key ingredients would probably be a) plunging stock prices, b) collapsing home values, c) soaring unemployment, and d) a banking system on the verge of complete implosion.
And do we have all those terrible factors in play today? Check, check, check and check."
So should we be looking forward to a revolution, or will it just turn out just like the last depression (probably minus the World War)?
