China is a full-blown capitalist state. Anybody who disagrees with this- how do you justify the presence of a stock exchange?

Chinas transition into Communism as we all know is light years away could they be trying to establish capitalism first?

China was a Capitalist state since Mao died. Deng changed into a Capitalist state. only Socialist/Communist thing about the Peoples Republic of China is its name. Hopefuly in the Future China will be a True Socialist state like Mao invisioned it would be.

By the history of his actions and the statements he made, Deng Xiao Ping believed that China would have to industrialize under capitalist conditions before transitioning to socialism and ultimately communism.

Deng's vulgar Marxism was completely at odds with Mao's re-formulations of Marxism-Leninism, and he profited from Mao's colossal failures like the Great Leap Forward.

Looking at the history of China from 1949 to 1976 one can see how Mao got his way and then had his policies reversed by Deng and the capitalist roaders. The Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution was Mao's attempt to put an end the Deng clique. It was another failure.

In my view, Deng sincerely believed in his long term strategy for achieving socialism in China by instituting capitalism. But his successors are communists in name only, and the evidence so far is that they want a capitalist China ruled by an oligarchy.

The poll is redundant.Could an admin please remove it as i cant.Thanks.
Anw chine is and was a capitalist country, it have never been even close to Communism, not even to socialism!
But what are the "Chinese problems, and who will reach greater heights?Chinese state?
China is exactly as every other modern day capitalist country and i can even say that currently she is one of the "strongest" capitalist countries and definitely one of the most oppressing towards the people.

China is the worst (or, to the cappies, best) capitalist disaster we've seen so far. Workers rights are nill, social stratification high, and multinationals set the agenda. There is a great chapter on China in the book Rulers and Ruled in the US Empire by James Petras which talks about the PRC's shift towards capitalism after Mao.

Yep as I said the PRC became a Capitalist state when Mao died and Deng became leader. His reforms made the PRC powerful,in a Capitalist way, but made it into a Capitalist state and the Socialist Republic died when that happened.

Well that's what Gorbachev sincerely said at the time but later on he admitted he was always a crypto-capitalist fuck.

This has technically already been said, but if anyone says China is still 'Communist' or Socialist, tell them about the recession's impact on China.

Problems not unique to China.
