Greetings, everybody. I'm from the Christian Right's stronghold of southern Orange County, CA. For the moment, I am still trying to figure out what type of leftism that I identify closest with, but at the moment I am reading as much as I can about Marxism and the history of world communism. On that topic, I have recently begun reading Comrades!: A History of World Communism by Robert Service. I was initially introduced to the radical left via the hardcore punk scene. I have observed that many people within the scene are very shallow in their anarcho-politics and just spew whatever they most recently read in a 'zine they got at a show. I think this explains my current interest in Marxism, but who knows, I may end up defining myself as an anarchist as I become more well read.

I am a senior in high school and am currently struggling to become employed. I plan on attending college next year, yet I'm unsure of where I will go to school. I have been accepted to Northern Arizona University, but am still trying to gather knowledge of the town of Flagstaff and of the nature of the school and community. If anybody is from Arizona and could help me out that would be great! I may attend a community college in my area instead, but who knows.

I apologize for my overly-lengthy introduction, thank you for reading. I look forward to posting with all of you!

You may like this website libcom.org its mostly anarchist with some marxist stuff, and nothing like your previous encounters with anarchists-punks.
