Note there is an irony in it when I compare; "God helps those who help themselves" to "Loose waight with Slim Suit".

"God helps those who help themselves" is a common frase by believers to respond to gods absense/non-response to prayers, in a way that makes their own effort attributed to someone elses effort, i.e God. So even though the prayer didn't help and they had to get from off their knees and do things themselves, it was still the success of the prayer and God.

The amount of faith people hold in products in mind boggling. The commercial doesn't even pretend to make up how this suit actually works-- no evidence or reasoning whatsoever. The people who went ahead and bought it did so either out of jest or faith that would work.
