Manu Chao/Mano Negra

If you're looking for some good leftist music, Manu Chao, and his former band, Mano Negra, are good to check out. His lyrics contain political commentary, in addition to commentary on love, and life in general. Not to mention the music itself kicks serious ass. The only problem for some people may be that most of his more political songs are in Spanish, although he also sings in English and French. You can't really go wrong with buying any of the albums of his, but if you want to hear some of his more political songs, find, the following are the ones I can think of now: The Rebel Spell, Peligro, Mala Vida, Senor Matanza, Machine Gun, Clandestino, Desaparecido, Mentira.

mano negra kicks ass so does manu chao .i recently went to manu chaos concert in tijuana they also played with tijuana NO!! (kick ass band too)check them out they also played with the mexican jumping frigoles another kick ass band is aztlan underground

yeah, manu chao is definately someone you all should check out. political and social lyrics sung in about 4 different languages make for some great music. manu chao is my hero, well....no, but i do like him

If you`re talkin about the brazilian band tihuana, i think it sucks!
big big time, mano Chao is cool, but there great things aout here in the Latin America too...
