Real madrid O-1 LIVERPOOL

Juventus 0-1 CHELSEA

Villareal 1-1 Panathinaikos

Sporting Lisbon 0-5 BAYERN MUNICH

Champions league hurts my head :(

fuck me, 5-0 haha. No recovering from that, away goals aswell!

Quality result for Panathinaikos, they are going to be very difficult to overturn in their backyard and with an away goal they could definatly get through.

Brilliant result for liverpool. What is it with Real Madrid and being crap?

Another good result for the English team. Chelsea are surely through now.

Lol RM really is taking there way "down" really down, Weird that Villareal got a draw with the idiots, and that Sporting a decent team got so much destroyed by Bayern which is ok a great team, but i never expectes such a huge win!
CL looks interesting this year.:)

Killfacer

Weird with Bayern not peforming very well in the Bundesliga that they managed this. Maybe they can turn it around. You would have though with Klose and Toni up front they could potentially beat any team in the world.

Real Madrid's been having trouble with coaches and shit.
The managements been all over the place.

Another good result for the English team. Chelsea are surely through now.

Chelsea are fucked once the economic crisis kicks in. Can't buy no more players when there's no cash.
Arsenal will reign again. mwahaha

Well, if Wenger's history with Arsenal says anything, it looks good.
Plus considering Arsenal has a lot of young players, whom clearly are developing solidly, in the future, Arsenal will surely push its self back up into a dominant position.
Wenger is king!

Plus, come on, Van Persie is fucking incredible.

Yet fails to peform against the likes of Hull and stoke. Don't get me wrong, as an arsenal fan i love him. He clearly enjoys playing for the club and he is a huge talent for sure, but he needs to bang them in against smaller opposition. I guess when eduardo is back we will have two good strikers (Adebeyour is fucking useless) and hopefully we will start going well againn.

The problem with this "arsenal have good youth players" thing is that frankly some of them don't cut it. Bendtner is a fucking failure, and i don't think the likes of song or Djourou will ever be comparable to say Viera or Tony adams.

Arsene needs to buy a good defensive midfielder and needs to sell that prick Gallas.

Looks like the gooners will have to be satisfied with a UEFA Cup spot this year.

Anyway, I pretty much agree with you about Arsenal. Van Persie is a great player, but not the kind to blast in 20-30 goals a season. They could really use a good DM. Maybe they should have gotten Nigel de Jong instead of City. Jean Makoun (Lyon) is good too.

Can't really see him leaving Lyon for a season or two cus he only just joined them.

Hopefully eduardo may be the man to score those much needed extra goals but really we should sell Ade and get David Villa in.

Yeah, I know. It just surprises me how often big clubs fail to reinforce themselves with players like that. A DM with some experience can be worth a lot.

Well i think we were close to signing Gokhan Inler from Udinese, only for them to pull out right at the end.

I think United will Win the champs league, unless Chelsea or Liverpool hassle them in the Prem causing them to lose concentration.

Although I havent seen much barcalona this year, Utd have a wicked manager and a great team and look unstoppable.

Barca are smashing La Liga to bits, they are definatly worth a shout.

Wanted Man
6th March 2009, 17:34
Barça haven't won in 3 league games, suffering painful defeats against Espanyol and Atletico Madrid. Real are on a very good streak. Mind you, there is still a difference of 9 points between them. Anyway, all I'm saying is that it is not evident for Barça to win, they can be defeated, whereas Real are on a roll at the moment.

Anyway, it's hard to pick a favourite at this stage. Chelsea, Juventus, Bayern, Porto, Lyon, Barcelona, Real, Liverpool, Arsenal, Roma, Inter and Man Utd are all very strong sides. And even some of them may well be knocked down a peg by the supposed "weaker" sides.

Killfacer
7th March 2009, 10:02
Real are as good as out. I don't fancy Lyon to go through. Bayern are already through but will struggle to get past another round. The rest of the ties are well poised though.

F9
7th March 2009, 10:06
I hope either Man.Utd(loved their football since kid, they are great team, and i like them, they are my "favorite" team in the UK) or Roma(which is another team i have been like, i think Totti is one of the best in the sport, especially for his passion for Roma which he is dedicated to, and it would be great for them to get the Championship in their own stadium.:D

Whoa, Liverpool are immense tonight. Of course, they lucked out a bit with the penalty, but still, great football, all things considered. Real are nowhere so far, very poor midfield display from them.

F9
10th March 2009, 21:43
Real is disappointing, liverpool is obviously better, but both of her goals came from "mistakes" the referee did.The first goal there was foul on pepe, and the penalty wasnt.
Bayern still gives her "magic", she destroyed once again sporting, i was "hoping" something more from them, anw, panathinaikos is in 0-0, hope they end getting no where:lol:

I dunno about the first goal. Maybe he touched Pepe slightly, but it didn't seem like he was actually holding him. But it's hard to tell. Just like with the hands, even on the first couple of replays, we thought the ref got the decision right, but from another angle, it became painfully obvious that Real were shafted.

lol at Real Madrid they are shockingly bad, not sure exactly what the theory is behind playing so slow your own players don't move hmmm maybe Ramos knows better.

Good to see the "biggest" club in the world getting smashed...

I can't say I'm into Real either, and I'm also not Juande Ramos' biggest fan. Real get a lot of attention here because of all the Dutch players there at the moment, but Barcelona is still where it's at for me. Not to mention that at least two of these Dutch players are set to fail miserably. Drenthe is just not good enough, and Van der Vaart is the excellent "new manager's scapegoat" because he was a purchase of the old manager.

The same thing can happen to Huntelaar, but at least he's starting to score now. Ramos will be ruing his choice for Diarra in these CL matches when he doesn't have Huntelaar as the icebreaker who can score in just about any situation.

Hmm i'm not sure I cant see Huntelaar being anymore affective than Diarra, as a team they just arn't as good as Liverpool and Ramos is simply no Benitez.

Its not sure yet the only need a goal. This is a good game, not great but good, they can both give more, only if they played "more open" game, but it wont happen since there are a lot of things down for just a victory..
And i really hope Man Utd crashes them so at last Murinho gets to shut the fuck up!

Most interesting game for me is Bayern VS Barca. I think Toni and Klose could cause real trouble.
