HI everyone.
I am Shailesh from Mumbai in India. I am 21 years old as of now and am a technology student graduating this year.
My interest in communism grew from the history of Russian revolution that I had studied. Even before I started reading about the left ideologies -- which I still have to read a lot -- I was already having some kind of intuitive inclination towards communism. After reading more, I became more confident in the left ideology. I consider Lenin as my hero. He was the greatest revolutionary to have ever existed in the last century.
Another reason I am inclined towards the left ideology is because of the condition of people here in India. It is one of the most corrupt states now, and great number of people live in dire poverty and illiteracy. And the sole reason behind all this is not only the hidden imperialism in the form of division into classes but also in the religious form by divisions into castes (a practice peculiar to India).
I believe only a revolution can break old traditions and narrow-minded thinking of the people.
I am glad to join this site.
