Hello revleft! I've been browsing this board for a while as a guest and thought it was about time I actually signed up and said hi. I'm from South Wales and have been a communist for little over a year, with views leaning towards the ideas of Trotsky. I became interested in communism a couple of years ago and decided to do a little bit of research of my own, as whenever I heard the mention of communism, it was always in a negative context. After learning a little about Marxism I realised that communism isn't the evil ideology that many make it out to be and decided that this was the ideology for me. Anyway, I look forward to learning more about the various beliefs held by people here.

Welcome comrade, you from the pits (or ex) regions?

I'm not far from them, I'm from Cwmbran, a little way from the former mining regions in the valleys.

Welcome. :)

Your introduction to Communism actually sounds similar to mine. Great to hear that you're interested in Trotsky too. I'm a Trotskyist myself.
