I must confess that I am bleeding heart who could begin to get wet eyes when I see movies. One movie which undoubtly makes me cry is King Kong (2005). I cannot explain it fully.

Do you have any movies which make you cry?

Pfff the new King Kong is insipid twaddle, the 1933 sequel to King Kong called "The Son of Kong" was truly sad. Poor little son of Kong getting his foot stuck in a volcano that sinks into the sea, that truly is heart breaking... :(

I had the same effect with about half of those. :'(
The one that keeps springing to my mind though was Serentity oddly enough. Just that bit near the end where River turns to Daniel and says "You've spent your whole life protecting me.... My turn!" really sends me going for some reason. :crying:

Life is Beautiful.
Though the film was terribly sad, it made me laugh.

I cried when I saw Bambi and nearly so when I saw Dances with Wolves during the end credits. I was very young when I saw both.

Many movies have made me teary eyed, but the only one to actually make me break down was Titanic. It is still my all time favorite movie.

If you don't cry at Braveheart, wtf is wrong with you?
The Che Guevara movie might have a shot at making me cry, if it is well done. (Motorcycle Diaries didn't do it).
Song lyrics get to me more than movies in general. Or posters:

Honestly though, I have to be really sleep-deprived for anything to do it.

Is this an animated Japanese movie?
Maybe I've seen it...and I would agree.
Although there are a few others and sometimes it depends on my current situation/mood.

Matewan. When the Italian immigrants figure out they've been tricked into scabbing, and they come marching out of the mine singing "Bandiera Rossa". That scene dissolves me into tears just thinking about it.

I'm afraid that if you can't remember Simon's name, you won't be allowed to watch Firefly ever again. This is, of course, assuming that you have seen Firefly- if you saw Serenity without watching the show first, kindly exit my reality.

Click, (spoiler alert) when the Fonz tries to tell Adam Sandler that he loves him but he's on autopilot and the shortly after when he runs out of the hospital to his son. But its all better in the end though, because it's a dream... never seen that ending before.

You disgust me. I thought 'I hate that film' to half of those. I hate Patrick Swayze! I hate Titanic.
I cry at Pan's Labyrinth, then I cheer when the captain gets killed. Apparently I'm not the only one. It must've been in the collective unconscious cinemas after Mercedes says 'No. He won't even know your name' that people think 'if anyone else cheers, I am so cheering!' I cry at Willy Wonka cos everything turns out perfect, so it's a tears of joy moment. I cried at Corpse Bride cos she turns to butterflies.

Considering that I was getting Betty Crocker's and Davy Crockets mixed up earlier today, in the chatroom, that's not too bad a mistake I suppose.

Me too! Although there's also some parts were I feel sick/blood boiling against those falangist bastards and even feel riled up and sometimes thinking "never again (should we lose and let fascism win)."

I cried when Godzilla died due to the nuclear meltdown in his tummy at the end of Godzilla vs. Destroyah. As a young child, it was heartbreaking to see him go.
The end of the original 1954 Godzilla (the original version, of course) was pretty sad as well, although I wasn't mature enough to appreciate it until I watched it again recently.

Grave of the Fireflies. One of the few animated movies that gets me teary, even though I'm a fan of anime.
When I first saw Green Mile it got my bawling.

I cried when they impaled "you know who". (I won't say because it is my mission to make everyone watch Firefly).
Glad to see people here that like that series. ;)

The Miracle Worker.
To this day it gives a shiver in my spine.
I've only cried once at any movie, when I saw it for the first time at 12 or 13, yeah, with my mom.
