Also, the Ajax group Vak 410 decided to use some pyrotechnics:
http://www.ajaxfotoside.net/0809thuis/fnoord/153.jpg
As a result, Ajax have banned Vak 410 from making tifo actions for the next 3 matches. Including the big European game against Fiorentina. Nice one, Ajax.

Great stuff. So do the clubs get punished for pitch invasions? Because they're very intolerant of that sort of thing here.
And I don't think English football atmosphere is tepid in any way. There may be less fancy banners, flags and fireworks. But nothing beats 45,000 people with red scarfs in the air, singing "You'll Never Walk Alone" like it's going out of style (no wonder several foreign clubs, including Feyenoord and FC Twente here, have stolen it). Nor, for that matter, the gritty lower league football.
Fuser: about that Aris video. According to one of the comments, during that great sequence, the fans are singing:
''OOOo you fucking gay...your dad is an ARIS fan...your team is a beach your fans are rats...you will always run,it can not be other way...''
Is that true? The opposition must have crapped their pants!

Yeah thats exactly what they sing, if there wasnt the sexist part would be a lot better though.
Nahh the oppositions are equal good in chanting as those ones and in m personal opinion even better and louder when they sing on their stadium, they dont scare on such things! ;)But they werent even at the stadium anw, greek superleague has banned the moving of the fans in away matches!.
a video i could find now, its not and the best from them, but the whole stadium is on its feet the hands up and shouting their teams name, with the signal of the coordinator!

Well the FA don't take any action if it's at the end of the season and you have been promoted. I think we got a warning for storming the pitch after the play off semi final but there wasn't any fine.
The main problem is being grabbed by a steward, so you have to find a good place to run on, because most of the first people on get grabbed.
If you had a flair here you would be lept on by about 10 coppers instantly. They police the football grounds really toughly these days. Although i remember last time millwall were down a couple of seasons ago they managed to rip up loads of chairs etc
There is also a lot of CCTV in the grounds so even if they don't get you that time, they will find you and ban you from the stadium :crying:

Regarding the fireworks: I forgot to mention that, during the Ajax match, the roof of the stadium was closed. So that kind of explains why the club took action against it. But I still think it's stupid. Who wants to play in a huge sports hall with a roof, anyway? Players who are scared of the rain? As far as I'm concerned, they should just get rid of the roof (and the "moat" around the pitch) and build a third ring of seats on top of the existing ones. The stadium will still be about the same size (you just replace that huge ridiculous steel roof construction) but with a capacity of 70,000, so we can host the 2018 World Cup (fat chance).
Doing that would also instantly make the atmosphere better. Right now, a lot of sound is instantly drowned out by the sheer size of that thing. Still, it has gotten much better because several fanatic supporters' sides were relocated closer to each other.

The main thing i want for british football at the moment is a return to terracing and the dumping of the stupid all seater stadium.

If you lot ever come up against Chelsea and we no longer have seated stadiums I'm gonna walk over to your section of the ground and bottle you. Not because I don't like you, quite the opposite, it shall be a sign of affection.
Its much betetr at non-league when theres no seats in most of the ground. Seats just ruin it. We'd need to find some form of safety precautions though. Theres laods of stories and pictures of people getting crushed when everyone lurhces forward. Of course the best fans stand up anyway, thats what we do in the Shed at Chelsea.

If there weren't scousers then there would be no crushings. They killed loads of Juve fans and they killed loads of their own. They have a history of killing fans in stupid rushes into full stadiums.
Somehow i doubt you would be able to climb of a huge fence go round the policemen find me and bottle me  But if you do then im gonna dodge it and smash your head in with a chair. As a sign of affection of course

It's easy to hold a little flag and wave it in tune with the music. :p But it looks damn great to see an entire stadium moving around like that. Even when the stadium isn't completely sold out. Of course, the second half of the video is at the end of the match. Some people claim that there is a "cold" (lack of) atmosphere at Ajax ever since they've moved into this stadium. But it seems to get better every year.

Not always, there are people who are bored even to lift up a piece of paper to make a drawing, and because they arent one and two they can destroy the whole thing, and the whole job some people did, and its really frustrating when this happens, as it is really hard to wave a flag, or lift a paper... This was performed by the whole stadium synchronized which is what it made it look cool!

Futsal? Surely thats the small version of football for practising technical skills? Why do people watch that?
They watch it because the team which plays is called OMONOIA, there are people that watch bicycling because OMONOIA plays, there are people that even if it was a game of solitaire, where OMONOIA plays, they would be there.I have been away from those teams this year, as i have a dissagreement mainly on the sponsors names, where they kinda "deform" the teams name, so i abstain from those games, and i am not the only one.Following OMONOIA where it plays, and be there to back up your brothers, in the group, is all we are talking about when we talk about "love" the team, we do not end in the football, and i hope one day things get better to the other parts of OMONOIA, because i reall missed such matches this year.:( :crying:

Hmm, some major football teams here are actually omni-sport clubs, but not all of them. In many cases, the football section grew so big that they split off and organised themselves completely.
My local amateur club also have tennis and bridge sections, but I can't say I really care. :p
Amongst the best atmospheres you would ever lived, would be in close stadiums, like basketball, volleyball etc.The atmosphere usually there is far greater, due to the noise that "come backs" too, but because most people dont care and much about whats going on the field(most people only like football) but they go there to just support, even if we are "useless"(which we are not anywhere :p)

Time for some more Ajax. Yesterday was the 109th birthday of the club, and, as luck would have it, there was also going to be a UEFA Cup match against Olympique Marseille. So it was time to wave flags to classical music again. This time, they had André Rieu (http://www.theaustralian.news.com.au/story/0,25197,24659983-16947,00.html) himself "play" his violin in the middle circle. Love him or hate him, if you want a big show, he's your man.
He played two songs, after which he left the pitch and the Ajax club song was played. Watch it with some brilliant camera work here:

Yeah, i was talking about the video, it was a besiktas fan in the middle of the stadium coordinating everyone else.
The flags are usually opened in the part of the stadium where ultras sit, or fans in the "real meaning" which go there to support the team at any cost, and not watching the match is one of it.There are numerous games that i had to seat and watch the reply of the game i was attending to realize what happened..

It just seems absurd to me. At Ankaragücü there are no flags like that, but there are people who orchestrate the chanting and drumming without even watching the match.
I don't think it makes them fans in the 'real meaning'. It is how they enjoy the match. That is their choice. Personally, I prefer to watch what is happening on the pitch.
