Anybody been watching this so far?
The Ireland Vs France and Wales Vs England games were both brilliant to watch. It looks like it could be and Ireland-Wales grand slam decider on the last weekend and I really dont know who it will go to. Saying that Ireland still have to play England and Wales have to play France so there might not even be a grand slam yet. Hopefully there wont and its left open for anyone to win on the last weekend.

Although i do agree with you that it's a bit of a posh sport. I fucking hate rugby fans, they think they're wacky because they wear stupud costumes.

Ive played rugby since i was about 6 years old and have mostly played with and against working class people. Also, I find that the atmosphere at rugby (union and league) games is so much better than any football games...

I just mean, in general, there is a much friendlier atmosphere at rugby games, they dont even have to separate the home and away fans at rugby matches.... Football fans seems to take the game way too serious, where as rugby fans win or lose are always up for friendly banter and a bit of fun.

anyone catch the ireland v italy match? i thought ireland played shitItaly are tough to play against and it was no surprise that Ireland struggled to begin with. I was a bit concerned when we were still behind after 30min (although Italy were fired up after their nightmare at Twickenham) but Ireland were able to step up a gear and grab a typical Munster try. The second half went according to plan with the Italians tiring badly. The scoreline flattered us but it was still a solid performance... even if it was horrible to watch
England will be interesting. On paper Ireland should win but never underestimate the old enemy. I don't expect it to be a classic - the Irish backline has yet to click and England are completely devoid of inspiration or any kind of independent thought/leadership - but these games are always fascinating to watch. All going well we'll send Martin Johnson packing from Croke Park with some torrid memories

Which reminds me that I have to chase up tickets. I was at the last England game as well but I'm finding it impossible to get a ticket for this one
England are never going to play 'sexy rugby' but even by their standards the current team lacks any sort of flair or cutting edge. What's more their forward pack looks a shadow of the giants of old and I expect that an Ireland team that stood up to both the French and Italian scrums will cope well. That's not to rule an English victory out but they'll have to improve a lot

Ireland - France was the highlight so far I think. Great to see BOD get that trademark try. Kearney's been phenomenal all season, just plucking the ball effortlessly out of the air for Leinster and he's looked even better if anything for ireland, all things considered. Amazing the way the lads have gelled together given the recent past. It really looks like Kidney has done it again, early as it is. England-Ireland should tell us alot. Looking forward.

Both Ireland and England were poor, Ireland would of been nothing without O'Driscoll and England need to stop giving away such stupid penalties and getting sin binned. i couldnt watch the match because i was doing other things but it seemed like a good match at times but most of the time pretty sloppy. england were so dirty in the 2nd half. someone i think pushed or shuved a ball boy for no reason!! like come on!! but ireland didnt seal the deal and let england in with a try at the end. over all it was an ok match but it is looking good for ireland at the moment :)

Awful game (especially compared to the treat served up on Friday night) with both teams reaching new lows. That said, Ireland definitely deserved the win - England can be thankful that O'Gara's had a nightmare evening, otherwise the score would have reflected the sustained Irish pressure of the second half
Still, I'm deeply concerned about the direction that Ireland's heading in. Aside from the forwards (who straightened themselves out during half time) there was a complete lack of gameplan. The kicking was aimless, no back was willing to run with ball, and there was no imagination in attack. Against France and Italy I'd put this down to the opposition but last night was a real wake up call. If we can beat France then we can beat Wales... but we'll still have to play with a lot more verve and ambition

I think France will have a narrow win over England
Wales to have a big win over Italy after losing their last match
and Ireland to do just enough to win Scotland

Scotland v Ireland will be interesting (though probably no classic). We really haven't seen the best from either side in this tournament and while Ireland should win comfortably on paper its perfectly possible for Scotland to pilfer this one
Elsewhere, Wales will beat Italy (who have been poor even by their own standards) while France should beat England with little difficulty... if France turns up

I'm backing Wales to win the match, but not by enough to win the championship, probably by about 5/6 points.
Apart from the 1st game Ireland have played pretty poor and are lucky to be in the position to win the grand slam, they dont deserve to win it.
Anyway, I'm just hoping for a good game for the title decider as I can't see the other 2 games being much fun to watch

I dont think Ireland did deserve to win against England tbhThen you were watching a different game than me. If ever a scoreline flattered to deceive it was that one; with the exception of the last five minutes England were never in that contest and if O'Gara had had his kicking boots on Ireland would have been out of sight. Look at the stats (http://www.rbs6nations.com/en/matchcentre/7991.php?section=stats&fixid=56627) - Ireland dominated in terms of possession and territory and were superior in most other categories. And this, as you note, was without playing particularly well
