Hi,

Just wondering if anyone of you had the chance to view and would be willing to comment on some of the online courses available on Yale university web?

The link: http://oyc.yale.edu/courselist

Ones I watched:
- France Since 1871, Fall 2007
Lots of info on Paris Commune, good or bad? Hmm... so so

- Introduction to Political Philosophy, Fall 2006
The line "there are still some Marxists professors out there" was very funny

- Death, Spring 2007
Cool subject :thumbup1:

Well if i was gonna be choosing courses from that list i'd probably do the course on Death that you mentioned and the Greek history one. But yeah, it really depends on your interests; i have a history degree so that is what i am drawn to (what sort of stuff are you drawn to? Always go with what you find interesting - you'll get more out of it and do better). To be honest i found most university politics courses i did quite boring (specifically the broader intro courses like the one here, the more focused ones are usually better), though this may be because they tend to rehash the same material across different courses. However, if this is your first one it might not be so bad.
