Greetings fellow lefties!
I'm from Leicester in England. Currently taking a morbid fascination in watching the economy fall apart here and elsewhere. There's an element of "I told you so..." about the whole thing :)
Since I was young I've always been what I called an idealist. I remember in Primary school I was taught about how money was introduced to supplement trade - I remember conciously thinking "well thats just asking for trouble!".:rolleyes:
Since then I've been a student and had to pay out a fortune for an education that probably wasnt as good as someone who paid to go to a better university or school. I've had to work very hard for a salary that barely covers my cost of living and doesnt allow me to progress out of that situation.
And as I've read and researched different theories I just slowly came to find that various leftist theories fitted more closely to my own ideas and beliefs than any other theories currently available.
I'm still learning and reading a lot about different ideas so I'll no doubt be asking a few questions.
