I meant more humour in the actual article, but alas.
And yes, The Great Commotion is straight outta Mustard City!

So in response to the BNPs short, witty, colorful and all round punchy propaganda, we've produced a long winded black and white text that, from a design point of view, gives a nod to Oi Punk before descending into a much more boring realm.
I can't be bothered to read it an I'm somewhat interested in what it says.

Yes, we'd all love to be able to produce mass quanities of beautifully colourful well formatted text. However, the problem with that is we simply do not have the funding to do it, plus we don't need to when we can have access to free black and white photo copying. But yeah, I'll note what you've said about the presentation of the paper. That said, the presentation isn't usually this format but it does need sprucing up in general.
What nod to Oi! punk?

Sure, what I mean is that what a leaflet actually says is not priority. How it looks is. It could just say some meaningless but nice sounding stuff, be clearly anti-fascist and I think it would convince more people.
People don't become BNP supporters because ofa rational assessment of political theory, and we can't win them back with well thought out political argument.

It's more of a polemic against people who deem the BNP has a legitimate right wing party and are oblivious to the roots and history of the group, not to convert people. Just raising awareness, I suppose.

Sorry, but welcome to the 21st century. :D

Now there is no excuse not to make a document that looks attractive as well as containing spot on propaganda. Black and White is fine so long as the lines are crisp and clean.
The nod to Oi! punk is not there, the nod to Anarcho-Punk is however with the stencil style of the headline font. (CRASS font am I right?) Come on Levellers if you're going to diss something for being sub cultural at least get your sub culture right! You just make yourself look like an old man otherwise!

The BNP does do glossy leaflets.
Shame really...

really?
I was just mentioning it. I dont believe those UAF/Searchlight leaflets do much aside from remind people that they can piss off the major parties by voting BNP.
I read a copy of searchlight where they said they were going to move beyond the "Fascist nazis are nazis and facists" type of leaflet.
I havent seen any evidence of it.

indeed. They are a joke, Searchlight especially needs to be neglected by anybody who is serious about anti-fascism as part of the class struggle.
Its annoying we keep agreeing these days, we used to clash properly, i must have become less radical with age. That, or you have radicalised.
