A around a hundred garbage collectors (heck, i'm bad at english, but they travel around in big trucks and collect trash...) in the swedish capital Stockholm is on a wildcat strike since last week.

It's about a new company taking over the contract, and they, LLAB, want to lower salaries and make them work harder.

They are not collecting any trash, which slowly is making Stockholm a lot of more dirty, but, we still stand by our fellow workers, and hope they'll win the strike as fast as possible with as good result as possible.

The strike is now over, and the workers has declared that most of their demands are meet, while the employer says that they haven't meet any demands. Time will tell what happens!

There's some info here (in english): thelocal.se/17480/20090210/ (insert the rest of the adress yourself)

The garbage workers have began discussions about their new contract now, a while later, with the new company.

Also, the swedish organisation Revolutionära Fronten/Revolutionary Front did a visit at the VD of the company :)
