what level of societal structure or organization would your ideal world exist in? i think a lot of anti-hierarchy and anti-state thinking is interesting, but the replacement is incredibly complex. how do you implement a consensus-based society on anything near our scale? also, communitarian society seems like it would encounter the same problems. i think that this is the dangerous allure of capitalism, its simple. or it certainly seems simpler. maybe its only simple if we are seeking to maintain this type of culture or society. do these ideal societal structures require a sort of "civic" dedication to maintain, or can they sustain themselves independently?

The "dangerous allure" most leftists are prone to is to believe that capitalism is a system that can be understood in terms of simple class analysis. Such reductionistic mechanical thinking leads nowhere.
