I'm all for anti-capitalism and anarchy but is there any real way to escape escape capitalism in the U.S., because unfortunately everything we buy and do in the U.S. supports capitalism.

There is no sustainable way to escape capitalism for any length of time.

You, as an individual, could run out into the forest, and live off what you gather etc., but watch out for rangers, bears and other beasties.

Oh, and forget about health care, if you break your leg, you'll have to fix it yourself.

You can avoid large chunks of capitalism, look up freeganism for example, but you can't escape it.

(Also, there have been other threads on this in the past, if people would be so kind as to dig them up...)

Capitalism is everywhere. You could always go live the primative lifestyle if you want to get away from it, but i'm sure you don't want to do that.

How do you plan on avoiding it at all? Unless you become a primitivist (as the others have already suggested), you can't avoid capitalism at all.

In capitalist society, there really is no escape. Even drop-out lifestyles don't go outside of capitalism -- they just live on the fringes (freeganism, for example, living on capitalism's excess).

The point is that this realization should make us want to work to overthrow it. We need to build movements, alternatives, and struggle to bring it down.

Yep. This world can't be absolutely Capitalism free until we overthrow it.
