K, thnx :).
But it doesn't have to be music by 'pro's'. It can be if it's free, obviously.
But stuff like www.sovmusic.ru (http://www.sovmusic.ru) 'n stuff would do as well :).
I just need to extend my MP3 library, and i like basically any form of music.

go to youtube and in the url make it say www hackyoutube blah blah blah. This will download the video file for you. Assuming you want the song in the video you've downloaded, load it into any video editor and extract the audio as an mp3 file. A long process but worth it most of the time.

last.fm
myspace
youtube
AOL Video
youku (just contains videos and music and stuff in general and isn't particularly more illegal than youtube)
tudou (same as just above)
all the obvious ones usually have whatcha looking for and definitely if you're looking for music by "pros".
Audacity lets you record your system audio into MP3 files and is legal, open-source freeware http://audacity.sourceforge.net/download/ and here is a guide to actually recording audio using it in Windows http://mouseblog.wordpress.com/2008/01/16/recording-streaming-audio-using-audacity/.

If you're looking for a file-sharing program I would recommend limewire or MP3 Rocket.

Why not just download the album illegally, then? It saves time.

All the music is free and legal. There's a lot of weird french music, so you have to dig to find anything good.

theres some good free music blogs out there that get music legally but it all depends on what type of music youre after. Try something like Hype Machine to find free music which has both legal and illegal stuff on it
