Hello there, Jarvis here. Uh, sorry I can't be with you today, but I hope you're having a great festival. I've sent a song along for you to have a listen to. I've written the words along the bottom so feel free to sing along if you feel like it, OK? Enjoy yourselves. Thank you.

Smash the system.

How did I just hear of this guy? He's like protest piano jazz/pop.

Apparently this song, "Running The World", was released online only in 2007 to coincide with the first anniversary of Live 8.

Has anyone heard his album (http://www.amazon.com/Jarvis-Cocker/dp/B000NVHWIO/ref=reg_hu-wl_item-added)? Is it any good?

Jarvis is one of my favourite albums at the moment.

Black Magic ftw!

I actually didn't realize until after making this thread that he was the frontman of Pulp. I've heard a lot about how Different Class is so good, but I've never heard it. Or anything else by Pulp.

You should. Pulp in my opinion, is one of the best bands ever. Different Class is an excellent album (but not the only excellent Pulp-album).

Get it!

Jarvis solo is quite good too, but not as good as Pulp.
