subcomandante marcos is the Rebel leader of Mexico's EZLN He is also an author and a political poet heres a link if youd like to learn more ( i would type more but my one hand hurts from writing my english mid term):closedeyes:

Basically he was part of a M-L guerilla group that moved from Mexico city to the jungle to lead a peasant revolution.

After a few week they realized that they couldnt even survive in the jungle without the help of the peasants never mind lead them.

After years of working woth the peasnats they dropped the vanguardist bullshit and helped build a federation of village communes. He now is the commander of the army (EZLN) which is subserviant to the democratic Zapatista communities.

He's a former teacher from UNAM, and as such a good writer and very articulate spokesperson.
