Removing excommunication does not mean the Church endorses his views, it just means he's not a hieratic. This bishop is from the Society of St. Pius X, which currently in not in full communion with Rome, and their superior, Bp. Fellay, who spoke out against what Williamson said, which was his own opinion, he was not speaking for the Church, as he can only speak on religious matters. I and every Catholic and priest I have spoken to think he is a nut and should just be given some office job away from tv cameras.
