No. It's a common misconception that all Oi! bands are white supremacists, because some bands lean on the right. But also alot of Oi! bands lean on the left, dropkick has no ideology. Except maybe having a good time.:thumbup1:

They are working class as fuck. They have a slightly patriotic stance, but its far from nationalistic. Excellent music too.

Do or Die, their first album, is the only album put out by them that I actually like, as opposed to liking just a couple songs off of an album, like I feel with Blackout. Mike McColgan was an awesome singer and they were much more of a street punk band with some folk influences back then compared to now being a folk band with some vague punk influences. In short, they were awesome, but went downhill pretty fast after McColgan left.

Not at all, they were on the stage next to the stage Fantômas were due to play on at the Big Day Out but these Irish guys chewed into Mike Patton's time. He wasn't impressed. Neither was I, Fantômas was the only reason I went to the festival.
I'm sure they're a decent band if I gave them a fair listen to.

How could you even say that? nothing has changed with them in a long time. They still pump out the same rabble rousing style of music that we have come to love and expect from them. As a matter of fact their latest release "The Meanest of Times" has to be my favorite album thus far with Blackout coming in at a close second.

Mike is an amazing singer but when he left DKM was able to do what they really wanted to from the beginning, mix all of their influences into a sound all their own. They still have songs that are strait street punk even on the new albums. Famous for Nothing, Tomorrow's Industry, Vices and Virtues, Surrender, The State of Massachusetts, etc. If you really miss what they sounded like with Mike on lead vocals then check out The Street Dogs.
