Michelangelo Pappalardi (1895 - 1940) - Italian left communist who joined Bordiga from the split from the Italian Socialist Party to join the Abstentationist Fraction of the Communist Party of Italy. He later resigned from the party, left Italy, and became a figure in the German KPD, where he became friendly with Karl Korsch. He abandoned party politics and helped form the Communist Vanguard Group which later became the Communist Workers Group due to his acceptance of the positions of the Dutch-German Left. He died in Argentina in 1940.
